Completely on the pavement. There is a pedestrian gateway conveniently placed for the "driver" to escape into its house.

Oh I loved people parking like that at work when I had my shed of a polo, I would park it millimetres from the drivers door so they had to climb in through the passenger door Don't mind it of they park at the remote end of the car park but to take up two places at the front is a tts game.
How do you know he didn't do that to someone?
Physio appointment at a local doctors' surgery. I got a space OK on arrival, there were even a few spaces to spare. By the time I came out it had turned into a free-for-all...
...all the cars parked on the left of the picture are NOT in marked bays, and the blue Fiesta in the foreground was blocking in the chap parked to my left, who was in a proper marked space. He'd had to wait for me to drive away before he could 'escape'. Getting out, for me, was a case of 'only just' squeezing between the cars up at the front.
Some of the cars parked along the left hand side were also obstructing garages that appeared to belong to neighbouring properties...
On-road parking is a non-starter, because the road outside the surgery is double-yellow lines both sides (bus route/narrow-ish road), and proximity to the main railway line means there are no side roads in which to park and walk to the surgery.

Saturday morning, Farnham. Queuing for the traffic lights, I spotted this BMW obstructing the footway and potentially making life difficult for drivers emerging from the side road...
The little blue thing on the other side wasn't making life any easier for anyone, either. Bad enough forcing pedestrians, especially wheelchairs and pushchairs, onto the road at a junction, I thought.
Then this...
...came down the road. The driver had to perform a three point 'shuffle' to get his (inappropriate for tiny Farnham streets) Q car around the corner. Arrogant and selfish? Check. BMW driver? Check. No qualms about reinforcing stereotypes? Check.

Thanks to ttish parking like this by students at my local college all parking during the working day was banned with residents only being permitted to park their own cars there in the evenings and at weekends. Only one car in the photo isn't half on the footpath, it had been parked by a resident the previous evening.

Outside my house now, the black twingo and red corsa are visitors to the house, regular, always park half on the pavement despite the road being wide enough to park on the road. The silver yaris and the black swift belong to the house owner, the silver a3 that is 100% blocking the footpath belongs to his daughter (does this often). The blue peugeot belongs to somebody visiting a house up the street and i think its parked quite considerately however because it is parked where householder usually drives across the pavement to get on his drive he has decided to block it in.
Note the two empty spaces on the drive which they could easily use if they summonsed the energy to simply move the yaris.
In my opinion its lazy anti social parking of the highest order.
The garage is already full with his impreza sit which he seems to love as he cleans it fastidiously. The bloke seems to be a bit of a petrol head, shame he is not as fastidious with his parking.

Could not representation be made by the residents to obtain a more reasonable solution from the council? (Tell 'em who pays their wages!!)

The stupid thing is that at weekends, residents are permitted to park on that road - on both sides if they wish...

Looks like Rowanxx and his student friends have been parking on your road. You didn't let his tyres down by any chance did you? For those who haven't seen the thread to understand the above, see here - http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f...

Best not to tire yourself out by having to walk 20 yards befre using the sports centre.
Car park was 3/4 empty, and he was shopping.
Sticks: 'I remember when the police could be expected to set an example'.
Sticks' mate: 'They still do, it's just it's a bad one'.
On the police pick up I would state that its arguable;e they are a response policing unit and may need to be called at any moment so parking further away would delay their response time. My local tescos the police use the pick up bays and use this argument.Car park was 3/4 empty, and he was shopping.

I can see where that might apply. This was 15 yards to a proper space. Perhaps they should only use small supermarkets too Was on his own btw.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
