Jesus that's a poor effort.

"OK Tony, the top edge has to be this shape. We're thinking 'bubble' for the rest. Over to you."

to be fair it looks like the bumper has warped over time. It looks like a sad fish with a hair lip

Bentley Dominator. I literally just learned of it's existence 10 minutes ago.

Sultan of Brunei bespoke build - he commissioned endless specials over the years. He kept a few manufacturers alive during the 90's.

Sadly, rather asking "can I" he clearly never asked "should I"

This one looks like the result of a 350Z and a Continental GT finding out they were brother and sister, and then shagging anyway. Truly awful

On the plus side, the Sultan is the instigator behind the most incredible car in creation, a RHD black 288 GTO!

That’s not a body kit. That was the car.

The SI was a 1600 and was the cooking model. It replaced the XR2i and the RS Turbo because they were becoming uninsurable.
I wouldn't say it was the cooking model, there were loads of versions beneath it in the range. It was toward the top

There's one of these that lives (or used to) in West London. Saw a few times in the Ladbroke Grove area. Quite the thing for tooling about town in.

The Ferrari 456 "Venice" was commissioned by the Sultan's brother - Prince Jefri. He ordered 7 but only took delivery of 6 - the 7th was bought by someone in the UK and is most likely the one you saw - "1 XO". Apparenty cost Jefri £1m each

He had 7 Saloons and 2 hideous Spyders built at the same time

There looks to be quite a lot of Peugeot 406 in each of those.

yes that is what I had heard too.

I've seen that one close up and it really is a nice car (albeit that was about 16 / 17 years ago)

Yes, that's the one. Before then I remember it being advertised for sale around 2001/2 with a London dealer. I was working for a regional press agency at the time and enquired about photographing it for the popular press but the dealer wasn't keen. Price was POA but I think far less than build cost.

Most of the ‘Saudi Specials’ are truly awful. But why not, you know as a supplier you just need to say ‘Yes Sir’ and bank some easy money.

Amusing though, Ferrari set out to rid the world of replicas bud have made some bespoke howlers smile
