As per last year's thread. I'd be interested to hear what events people are attending and what plans they have for 2016.
A few things penciled in for me. Now i've had a change of job, I should hopefully be around for more weekend stuff.

Ginetta tour (again)
Geneva Motor Show
Santa Pod Festival of Power
Donington Historic
Scotland tour
France trip & trackday
PalmerSport day
Goodwood FOS
Carfest North
Lotus Hethel factory tour
Proba couple of additional trackdays
And of course the regular meets with local clubs

Quite a bit:

- A few modifications for the Elise
- Quite a few modifications for the BMW
- Sell the Merc and replace with something interesting. Not sure what yet.
- At least 5 trackdays
- Scottish tour
- Other car meets and events

2015 was a hectic year for me so I need to make up for lost time...

So far, I have booked the Daytona 500 and the Geneva Motor Show, both of which I'm super excited about! Would love to go to Goodwood FOS this year too as I've never been.

That sounds intersting-tell me more about the Elan. I do have a hankering for a modified FHC car.

It's a '65 car my Dad just repatriated from New Zealand. We've a deal whereby he's footing the bill on the condition that I build it and then I can race it this year. So far we've got the engine back from the builders and there's a new chassis in the garage still in it's bubble wrap! Everything else still needs restoration or replacement.

I'm aiming for the HSCC historic road sports class and the season kicks off at Combe on April 17th.

Boring decorating is in the way at the moment frown

Events

Go to a few rallies (Red Kite, Nicky Grist Stages, Wyedean, Mewla, Harry Flatters most likely)
Maybe go to something in Pembrey
I'd like to go to Le Mans this year, but I'm going to Download fest the weekend before so time off work is unlikely to happen.
Classic car show @ NEC as always
Try and go to more PH south wales meets, possibly a Sunday Service (Mrs wants to do something new one weekend a month so I'll see if I can convince her)
Driving holiday to Scotland

Current cars

Keep the Twingo running
- It needs a normal service
- I'm probably going to change all the dampers too
Get the mini back on the road
- More my Dads car than mine, he's preparing it for getting rid of some more rust
- Help him to strip and rebuild a 1275 engine to go in it in the future

New cars??

I'm saving, but other things keep coming up... I would like either

SW20 MR2 NA
NB MX-5 1.8

Give the Caterham the TLC it needs... then either use it or sell it.

Euro Road trip.

3 to 4 weeks,

Calais to Colditz and Dachau, from here to Schwangau (Neuschwanstein Castle where chitty chitty was filmed) and on through Oberammergau to Salzburg and Vienna,

Onwards over the Grossglockner pass to Venice, then Lake garda and the Strada dell Forra, onwards via Como, and several of the swiss passes before hitting Lucerne.

Exit Switzerlamd and head for Lake Constance where the last weekend in July is the festival weekend where they have the most amazing firework display.

Head for home then via Epernay to stock up on essentials.

3000 miles in the JCW - can't wait.

Trip to the Italian GP all booked.

Number 1 child coming soon so using that as an excuse to get an E61 550i touring or C55 AMG estate - whichever comes up first. Both very rare, but I'm a patient man!

Pick up the Noble after its respray (and bits). Then get new interior fitted.

Once back on the road go to lots of meets and maybe a couple of track days and then retire it for upgrades over next winter.

I'm getting married in May, so limited plans on the motoring front for me, unfortunately

A night at Goodwood house at the start of the Honeymoon, this is very much TBC....

Goodwood Revival - I've decided to alternate between FOS and this, to keep both fresh

Scottish Road Trip - I'd like to do the North Coast 500, after all the positive press, but it's a 1000 round trip to get to Inverness..so maybe Ben Nevis

I need to decide if I'm going to stick with my 370z. I love the old school nature of RWD, NA, Manual, mixed with everyday usability...BUT,I am always thinking about the next car, I think it's a disease.

I do 7000 miles a year, but quite a bit of that is motorway, so I'm a bit stuck as to what I would replace it with...for another thread I guess

Finish the current sportscar restoration.
Start another - thinking something vintage this time.

Sell the boring Audi, replace with a Landie Disco2 (to tow a horse-box and the vintage something)
Continue the rolling restoration of the Eunos.
Choose a direction for the MG Midget (sebring sprite?).

Scratch the Lotus Elise S1 itch.

Go to the Alps again. Couple of days going up and down and round the bends.
