I've been working on the tooling for this car since January, been a loooooooooooong year. Glad to see they're rolling off the line now - well, the prototype/road test ones are. Still a fair bit to do to be ready for mass production.

Does it look good in the metal then?

This is the first time I've seen it other than in CAD form (on my screen now actually but I think I'll get a pretty firm slap on the wrist if I were to post it).

Edit - I know we're having issue with the tooling which locates the rear light housing - and it looks it too going by the pictures.

Yeah - seems that way. Apparently only Audi and Merc are committed to properly fast estates.

Hope I'm wrong, of course smile

That's the christmas market in Bath (where I live) - I'm gutted I missed the photo shoot!

Strangely, the image is reversed i.e left is right so either I didn't miss it as it's a photoshop job, or they painted 'sportbrake' backwards on the side?

The twitter account is a waste of space. it's never anything about Jaguar.

It's a bit odd, but then perhaps the sort of thrusting executive it's aimed at doesn't have a family.

Or maybe they hope said thrusting executive has a Discovery parked at home for such purposes??

Possibly. There's plenty of enthusiasm for fast estates on here, but I suspect most of us are too canny, tight or poor to buy new frown

They may say no to an XFR estate now, but I'm quietly confident we will see one before long.

Me and my Whippet are looking forward to it smile

Having seen the vehicle uncamouflaged in the flesh I have to say it's looks a lot better than it does in those photos!

Looks nice enough, but that name...what's wrong with calling it an estate?
