Blimey Jamie, you've aged a bit. Some great pics on here gents. That one of the Italian pornstars and their hot rods is excellent, and the rear seat converted into luggage space is fantastic.
I think the beauty of this car is that it doesn't matter whether it's a completely standard road car or a hotted up racer, they still look wonderful. Some of the Americans get a bit carried away with wheel sizes and low profile tyres I think, but as long as there's some good depth of rubber on the sidewalls they look great.
Jimmyjam - I've taken the cage out now! It's in Mitch's rally beast. It was too impractical and I needed to make the back seats useable again, but I know what you mean. A classic car with a rear diagonal showing in the back window always looks very cool I think.
Here's some bits you don't usually get to see. The beauty is more than skin deep:
All alloy, wet liner block.
Liner.
Twin cam head. Cams are duplex chain driven with vernier adjustment.
Massive alloy sump! It's about 6.5 litres.
Twin 40s. These are Dellortos. Some are on Webers, some on Solexs.
Factory seemed to fit whatever was handy!
