This is a forum for adults, not kids. People need to accept that not everyone is going to be a sycophant and love their car. If you can't handle criticism or people sharing anything other than positive opinions, you should not be posting in the first place.
thisand its also the reason i haven't posted my car as i know it will get slated

If it were me I'd just RTM all the stupid things that the small minority say & trust that the Mods will zap em.
TX.
The posts will only get zapped if you are a minor forum celebrity with enough sycophants. Anyway, deleting negative opinions - what is that all about, since when was PH operating out of China?TX.

May I ask what happened? I appear to have mused something
Some people said they didn't like all the carbon fibre stuff JamieP was sticking his GTR, said they would rather spend on performance etc, JamieP's goons started jumping in with "When you own a 650bhp GTR you can give a negative opinion" etc, JamieP couldn't accept that not everyone would like what he was doing with his car and said he wouldn't update the thread anymore. The mods then swooped into edit / delete away the negative postings.FWIW, I've considered some carbonfibre bits for my Type R (for the look only, I wouldn't kid myself about the performance increase, but decided not to bother) and if I posted them on here, I'd expect that some people wouldn't like it, but I'd be ok with that, because I'm an adult and I live in the real world.

JamieP, who previously owned a 1000bhp supra (one of the most respected and followed cars on this site with a great build thread) and always seemed like a really down-to-earth and generally nice chap who was willing to share had a bizarre, vaguely abusive and really teenage hissy fit because a few people (out of the hundreds who posted) disliked a couple of the mods he has done to his new GTR, that he has chosen to share with the forum. Then a mod decided to removed massed of perfectly reasonable discussion because Jamie is known and was upset :'(

Was the issue the mods he'd carried out or being questioned on how he'd paid for them? Then a mod decided to removed massed of perfectly reasonable discussion because Jamie is known and was upset :'(

Just the mods he carried out. Some people didn't like the shape of the spoiler or how "Fast n Furious" the car was starting to look, others said they'd spend money on performance first and foremost. Jamie talks regularly about how he owns a building firm so I don't think there is any question of how he pays for it.Gassing Station | Website Feedback | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
