F**K!

I am shaking like a leaf. Cycling home I was suddenly in blizzard conditions. Thunder. Bright lightning flashes.

I get half way when BAM! Yaaaaaaarrrggghhh!!! And I get a jolt up through my arms like the mains.

Holy Moly....

You've never seen a fat old man pedal like that.

Still shaking. I was supposed to be going out tonight. Screw that. I need a drink....

I think you're supposed to get it checked out at the hospital.... no medical expert, but electricity and the heart don't go too well together.

Maybe it's God's way of telling you not to use a pushbike when you've got two perfectly good cars?

Joking aside, glad you're alright, it must've been quite shocking.

It might be worth getting your arms checked mate, can't lightining do something wierd like burn you on the inside? Don't want to alarm you and I might not be correct, just don't wanna see a fellow PHer suffer if it could be sorted. Even when they do drive a Boxster

hope the arms are ok

It must have been revolting to have been struck.
Still, this thread will give you a spark of interest on an otherwise neutral evening

Time to sit back and disipate your new found capacitance over a scotch.

On a side note........have you checked to see if anything glows in the dark yet
