i just dont get white cars
Discussion
The only possible colour I'd have my Diamond White (pearl) C63 in would be red, as these two show the lines of the body off best. Black looks superb for the 5mins it's clean (I know, I've had three black cars) but otherwise, along with most other colours (silver being the worst), hides them.
Where black wheels are concerned (I have these too), I personally think they look far better than the silver equivalent against the white body, or red.

I never thought much of white cars myself actually, but I now own one and have softened towards the colour a little. The colour wasn't what I chose it for though - it came up as the best spec for the lowest mileage and price I could find and was an excellent deal. If anything, the fact it was white put me off a little.
However I went to see it and in the flesh, it did look very smart, so I forgot any reservations. I do still think it looks good, although I think I might prefer it even more in another colour. Keeping it clean is a bit of a pain, and for most of winter it just looked brown. Also, things like tar spots stand out like a sore thumb after washing which is pretty annoying.
My girlfriend likes white cars and I kept moaning on the way to go and view it that I would of preferred it in blue, so she was a bit smug when I turned out to think it really suited the car.
Get a clear wrap for that if you're going to keep it a whileHowever I went to see it and in the flesh, it did look very smart, so I forgot any reservations. No contrast between the tyre and the rim just mate black wheels look grim, looks like brake dust.
Note the mew Mustang u.k model comes with standard black wheels...extra for Nickel..shame

If I've deciphered your writings correctly (?), then I'm going to go the other way and say that I prefer the black wheels. If we're talking specifically about that VXR8, then that dull silver is doing nothing for it; it needs a high-power silver at the very least. This is as is mine (albeit I have coupe) and personally I love the look against the white. Maybe the diamond cut lip goes someway to break up the "grim"-ness.

Totally agree with Contrasting lip...that is why old classics like E type look good in white with contrasting black hood and lots of chrome.
Its probably not a good photo but the VXR8 should have bright silver wheels....Monaro VXR gunmetal
Better photo
