Had the same problem trying to find the buyers fees but did find this using google.
Posting it incase someone else comes across this thread.

If i understand the fees here correct, joe Public has to fork out an additional £68.50 on top for the V5 and the Mechanical check.

I'm assuming the £42.50 is only one cars that have had a mechanical check done plus the £26 for the V5.

Yep that's correct. Mechanical check does give you a lot of extra piece of mind but it's cheeky the way they charge for it, should be encompassed into the standard buyers fees IMO

Why, it's a trade auction and the idea is the "trade" know what they are buying

rolleyes

Its not a trade auction, its a public auction.

Even for traders the assured report still helps as its impossible to know the details about everything listed on it just by "Knowing what you are buying"

You also get a warranty that if anything on the report is wrong (i.e. it says something is working when it isn't) they will fix it for you. A friend had £1k worth of clutch and DMF on a high mileage Golf paid for by BCA because the report said clutch was Ok, but it juddered when it arrived.

EDITL: Oh and that report is from the car that I bought from auction and sold back to WBAC a year later for the same price wink
