Well Bjorn has got a couple of threads.
But sadly another Hero of British Rallying died last week and I doubt anybody on here noticed.
RIP George Hill one of the very few multiple winners of the top UK's Tarmac Championship, fast enough to be in a works team, but not having a very Finish sounding name was a bit of a disadvantage in those days.

Remember George Hill very well - in his maize and black Vauxhall Firenzas. Never much to choose between him and works driver Will Sparrow in those cars.

I think you'll find there's a Stratos in Part 1 of the two part film. It's the one with 'Lancia' written across it....

Always associate Waldegard and his great friend Mikkola with this fabulous bit of FoMoCo promo film of the two of them ice dancing their RS's on a frozen lake back in the late 70's.

Must have watched this clip hundreds of times over the years, especially for the in-car of their driving styles in the greatest rallycar of all time

Great vids, we all know the later 4 wheel drive & Group B cars were so much quicker but nothing will ever look so right on a rally stage as a Mk2 Escort. Although I have to admit I'd forgotten what a good looking car the Celica was. Remember the Rally Sprint competition that (I think the BBC) ran, surely time to revive it with the top rally, formula 1 etc stars of today.
