Unbelievable, indeed! What sort of plonker puts the iPad behind the steering wheel?
Everyone knows it is so much easier to put it on top of the steering wheel with this handy mounting kit!

Don't exceed the speed limit, though! That's dangerous! Speed Kills, remember!
Probably safer, too, to disconnect the airbag. A face full of flying iPad is possibly uncomfortable.
I wonder whether there is a version for RHD vehicles?

A friend of mine works in a police call centre. When we witnessed a dangerous driver on the M25 he advised us to call the non emergency (112 I think) as the local police would be notified to look out for the car in question.
101 is the non-emergency number. 112 is the same as 999 (at least on a mobile 'phone).I was travelling along a lane last year, bit of a cut through and narrow at parts. A Passat barrelled through a section where it's not wide enough for two, causing me to have to stop. He clearly had an Ipad on the steering wheel. On a fat, winding barely double lane road.
Never have I wished to be travelling in a 'work' car more.

I saw the same thing bout 3 weeks ago. M1 southbound around J.30, early enough in the morning that it was still pitch dark. Bloke in a VW Caddy, in the right hand lane with a tablet propped up on the dash, leaning against the windscreen. I was next to him for a good 20s or so. It looked like one of the X-Men films playing on the tab. And, he had a headphone lead coming out of it, so it was probably playing the sound through his stereo.
What are the chances of being caught red-handed by the police? I never ever see marked police cars on the M1 these days. This chap obviously thought they were slim enough that he was willing to chance it.

IIRC it was quite easy to bypass/remove whatever stopped it displaying whilst in motion. Autotrader used to be full of adverts offering the service.http://www.tv-in-motion.co.uk/audi_tv_in_motion.ht...

Watching neighbours in a V70 on the M60 around Stockport. The sound is on while you drive but no picture. As soon as you stop the picture came on. Due to traffic on the M60 I used to watch a good portion of the show. This was 10 years ago when it was good though. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
