Was it for sale from a dealer in East London somewhere by any chance? I thought I saw a car that sounds remarkably like yours on AutoTrader. It looked good for the money they were asking.

Yep it was from East London....kind of in a midnight blue over dark gray (I'm sure someone will correct me on the official colour names :-) ) There's not too many around at that mileage so it probably is the one you have seen.

Hi OP,

I know this is a very old thread but I was just reading it with interest and was wondering if you were pleased with the LS in the end? Did you have many issues with it? I'm considering one so I can convert it to LPG for my 50 mile round trip per day. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Not an LS400 however I needed a stopgap barge and settled on a £1,500 132,000miles LS460, with zero service history/paperwork. I've just completed 30,000miles in 15months with zero issues

Do you mean a 430? You can't get a 460 for £1500.

I'm thinking of replacing my LS400 with an LS460 but decent cars always seem to be miles away. £1500 sounds like a hell of a bargain.
