Bernie was about the only dealer who took me seriously when i brought my Gen4 ACR as no one else was prepared to sell a new viper for export, Its also surprisingly easy to get it registered over here, you'd have thought the wing, splitter and other sticky out bits would fall foul of EU pedestrian impact regulations, but the IVA grandfathers them in under the US certification so the only modifications for the IVA test were the minimal lighting changes.

Proper engine, proper gearbox, massive want. The European manufacturers could learn something.
I suspect they're more interested in selling a larger number of cars to make more profit. I wonder if the likes of Porsche will sell more cars in this price range than this will sell. If so, I suspect they aren't too worried about learning a great deal from it. PunterCam said:

I appreciate your point but the question is how we've allowed a situation to develop where European performance car manufacturers, in the main, no longer cater for the enthusiast anywhere near as much as they used to. The Americans are on an absolute roll re. performance cars and I'd be like a kid in a sweet shop choosing between Camaros, Corvettes, Challengers, Mustangs etc. etc. over there. - They've got affordable muscle, proper sports cars and with stuff like the forthcoming Ford GT, supercars too...plus they're now getting most of the hot hatches, sports cars etc. from the rest of the world.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
