Considered it but you're talking about having *one* tyre available from *one* make at twice the price of a similar width in a larger rim size. Get a puncture on a road trip and you're looking at a 2 day wait while someone ships one out or a trip back home on a low-loader etc. One choice of compounds etc.

I'm still yet to buy wheels but as mine is not a nice original style monocoque like yours but rather a spaceframe I'm not quite under the same pressure to go totally original so I'm currently looking to go BRM style 17in front and 18in rear.
