I have been introduced to this:

I think this would be a perfect post apocalyptic car, given that there would be no rules preventing you from using it on the roads.

I **so** want one of these right now. Go and look at the spec.cloud9
hmm 5.3 Chavy V8 and a 6 gallon tank, not going to get very far is it.

Wouldn't take long to fill up when the hordes of zombies are descending on the forecourt though.

I'm sure there's an easy fix to increase capacity without having to resort to filling up the areas between skins of bodywork as per the originals.

Anyway I don't care. I love it.

I would say a Hummer H1 but the fuel economy is woeful, despite the fact it is a diesel.

My choice would be a Range Rover, simply because it can.

I am surprised nobody has mentioned the Nissan Patrol yet, in white with big UN stickers of course.

This aught to show the Tracksuit wearing undead whos boss. a couple of co ordinated strikes with your mates and the job's a goodun

and you could use this just for the banter

but with this mounted on the roof

I like your thinking but I can't help but think that tactical nuclear strikes within your own countries border might make things much worse. You're forgetting that with the radioactive fallout you'd also increase the incidence of giant mutant creatures.

RS6 with a mounted machine gun is a good idea though (GPMG FTW). That's my final decision.
Ahh, good point perhaps just use the missile truck to crush the undead with its immense weight. and yes, GPMG instead of minigun.

How come no-one has mentioned a Volvo 240 or 940 estate.

Safe, spacious, slab sided so the zombies couldnt get a hold and rear wheel drive like proper cars should be!

Lambo Murcielago R-GT. It's stupidly quick, looks the dogs and the undead/chavs/godzilla would be mesmerised by its epic soundtrack. Sod practicality, it everyones dead and I have to spend the rest of my life with my right hand for company, i'm having this. Plus you could stick a bit of barb wire on it and maybe a .50 calibre MG, might affect the smooth flowing lines though.

Lambos, F1 Cars, 13 gallons to the mile mobile missile silos, Audi Avants

Post apocalyptic folly, surely?

The Universal is still the only method getting around.

There's a great thread about Wild Soviet Military Vehicles on PH, within which there's a member who has bought a Ural and is converting it for an overland expedition:

Look for posts from theGimp and hs links to the conversion process.

You can have whatever car you want, unfortunatley you won't be able to keep it since lots of peoples first thought will be where can I get a gun! shoot

Seriously though, you'll need 2 vehicles, one spotter and one for lugging all the booty you can plunder. Rangie for the spotter and something weighting about 7.5 tonnes to do the lugging.

Could we have a PH clan to keep safe in?
I like the sounds of that THE PH SILVERSTONE CITY, the Defender/Ex military bunch out getting the fuel/protecting the boundary, WAGS harvesting and preparing food and the rest of us on a rota to get the quickest lap times in my Ultima GTR and all the other interesting cars we have....

Edited by robm3 on Thursday 8th January 16:30
Good idea.
Is silverstone easily defendable though? Think we may to update it if not.

Otherwise i like your idea and im happy to patrol the compound in my landy as long as i get a big fk off gun to mount on it.

And someone nukes france for a laugh as frog zombies will be bad hehe

I live 4 miles from a USAF base with lots of miliary spec Hummers getting about. No contest as far as I'm concerned, and must confess to have already made my detailed plans for what I will do come the Day of the Dead ..... Actually quite looking forward to it to be honest smile ... I hope that there is a hummer with a Blackhawk Down 50cal machine gun on the back. I'll fire whilst Nadine from Girls Aloud drives us about before going home to repopulate the planet hehe
