Car based pickups
Discussion
Mercedes Argentina did a W114 pick up
And a 4 door as well!
A few were imported back to Germany for use by the railway
And the factory built M3 pickup - 1 of 1. Started life as a regular convertible, BMW converted it to a pick up (the convertible already had the necessary bracing) and installed the S14 M3 engine.

Those three women look to be enjoying shifting that roof. Be careful not to drop it on the car or when you are carrying it over that low wall. That would be really handy, especially if you could leave the roof components on the road outside your urban terraced house, or even propped up against the house, whilst you were doing your "lifestyle"

That was the right royal PITA associated with removing/fitting and storing the hardtops for my R129 Mercedes SL and Alfa Spider S4. This render has three of the buggers for one car.

Like many things with lots of options/settings, they would rarely/never be used -the estate roof would be fitted and left in place for the life of the car. That was the right royal PITA associated with removing/fitting and storing the hardtops for my R129 Mercedes SL and Alfa Spider S4. The Dacia Duster SUV is produced as the Renault (Dacia) Oroch in South America, a single or twin cab pickup.
That’s exactly the kind of thing we need here.DP14 said:
That's exactly the kind of thing people say...but then don't actually buy if a manufacturer does offer something here.
Yes. Who would be the target market for a small pickup in the very urban populated UK. UK people like utility vehicles for their rufty-tufty looks and tax benefits more than for their utility. MC Bodge said:

I’ve always had an estate or a SUV for the utility, I shifted two ton of hardcore 120 miles in February, towed six ton and pulled a tree down. 9-5 it’s a professional consultants car, but probably with the remains of an engine or somesuch in the back if anyone was to look closely.
There are exceptions to every rule.I have always had an estate car of some sort in the household.
