Oh. Ok i stand corrected then why do they sound so pathetic in that video. must be something to do with the gearbox or actual velocity (they sound better when they're really moving.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcSnaHcAlKU

If my father had made £300+ million from the sale of a business he'd built up himself, then I would literally not give a crap about what some people have said on here. The whole point of being rich is so you can share it with those you love.
Besides, his son is a winning rally driver of sorts. So it's not like he doesn't have the talent to muck about with such 'exotica'. He probably knows far more about the mechanics of these vehicles than any of those commenting here.
As far as I'm concerned he can rag as many cars as he wants. It's on private land and the cars will probably have a full service afterwards. A lot of what's been said in this thread just proves to me why large swathes of our society are probably best ignored!
Well said sir...Besides, his son is a winning rally driver of sorts. So it's not like he doesn't have the talent to muck about with such 'exotica'. He probably knows far more about the mechanics of these vehicles than any of those commenting here.

As for Taxtherich, please don't let these lot put you off. The videos are great.
Before you can remove the rear of the car you also have to take the roof off. The parts themselves are indeed supprisingly cheap, and the car does come apart relatively easily. Getting hold of a set of car specific Goodyear Fiorano tyres however..... If that rope had snapped and either car had ended up in the brickwork; I believe a rear bumper section alone is about £15,000 - as for the rear engine cover/wing section.....
Stone chips on an F50 from the gravel drive would create far greater consternation than a tug of war. An onboard shot of the aforesaid F50's chasing one and other down the track, with buckshot hitting the front end and windscreen screen, would certainly and significantly redefine the term 'used'.
