As has been said just because someone finds the seats uncomfortable doesn't mean the next will...
I've had Skoda's since 2002. 2 Fabias. 2 Octavias and the Superb. Seats always been fine for me.

It really is down to the individual. Having been spoilt for years by Volvo seats, C30, S40, V50, S60, V70 and S80 of all sorts of vintages, work cars mainly, a colleague asked to borrow my estate for a couple of days and over a weekend. He swapped me with an Avensis. No matter how I tried could not get comfortable, even after 20 minutes back ache set in.
We had a base spec Mk1 Fabia as a shopping trolley at home, sheer bliss in comparison. Likewise job Octavias were fine as were a couple of Superbs, though the older spec. 2011/12 vehicles.

How are the seats in a Superb, anyone with first hand experience?
I've only had my Superb for about six weeks but have done a few 400+km trips in it now and it is perfectly comfortable. I'm comparing it against C/E-Class and 5 Series.I popped out for a run the other day, didn't intend to be out very long but ended up doing 250km chasing empty bits of road to wind it up (didn't quite manage to get to 250km/h!) and felt fresh as a daisy afterwards.

Buy some vRS seats and retrofit them? (Or other seats of your choosing?)
They're very different to the lower trim level seats. They're not as good as Saab or Volvo seats, but they are better than most for my body shape. (6'1" and too many pies.)
Seems a shame to pass up a car you want for the sake of an easily interchangeable part like a seat.
I can't imagine ever wanting a "Greenline" spec Skoda Octavia badly enough to buy one and then trawl breakers/eBay to find some better seats, go through the effort of fitting them (hopefully without screwing up any seat mounted airbags), and then get rid of your old horrible seats that presumably have absolutely zero 2nd hand value They're very different to the lower trim level seats. It's the sort of car you only have if you're given one from work, pick one up at the airport, or buy one at 5 years old for tuppence. If you don't like the seats you just go and buy one of the equally capable but forgettable equivalents from one of the other fifteen companies who sell such things.
It depends on your point of view, though. It's only worth the hassle if it's the car you want. You had suggested that an Octavia met your needs better than other cars- if it doesn't then I'd agree that you just buy one of those other cars!

My 2015 has just done 30k and still looks and feels like new I have no plans to change and to be honest I don’t know what would get if I did ! 6th year warranty from Skoda cost me £350.AlVal said:
