Running in a new engine

think the biggest thing with me would be an oil change or two say 500 /2500 miles so its not running in its own filth

So, I'm dying to know, how is the engine in the Swift performing two years on?

Ordered my new seat Leon cupra 2020 wondered if I can drive it hard from day 1 is this running in not really needed or is thrashing it good for the engine.

There's literally 8 pages discussing this. Well, 6 and half once you take out the debate over the engineering qualities of the engine in a Suzuki Swift

tl;dr just drive it normally from day one

On my company car (Merc C300) I was told no running in needed, just drive as you like straight away.
