Real world, I'd say Matt_t16's Saab.

Otherwise it has to be KITT

The A Team. They could do anything if left in a shed for long enough.

I'll have to look and see if I can find photos... A parapalegic sportscar enthusiast had always lusted after a DeTomaso Pantera, but refused to let his handicap get in the way of ownership. He purchased one and converted the clutch to a vacuum-assisted hand clutch, like a motorcycle. There is a lever you press forward to give it gas, you pull it back to apply the brakes.

He designed and fabricated the system by humself, and was featured in the Owners Club magazine a year or two back. I have nothing but respect for people who use their brains and their hands to overcome some handicap...

Q. Or Lotus. 180mph in a car that looks like a minicab - same top speed yet faster acceleration figures than the Ferrari Testarossa of the period, yet without the thirst and with 4 seats & a boot practicality. The Ferrari F40 of the modified saloon world - the Lotus Carlton!

How about Brabus? Absolutely stupendous power and an ability to shoehorn ludicrously large engines into small cars. And you have to love the subtlety of the execution.

The late John Lingenfelter.

That silver 'vette he did for that guy from Texas is awsome. Can't remember the spces exactly, but it was a 427 twin turbo and with slicks did 1.97 0 - 60 and an 8 second qtr mile. Was something like 800hp and 700ftlb. And to look at, it looked no different to any other C5 'vette. Common in the States, good for showing some people up from the lights...

What about Reeves Callaway? Turned a C4 'Vette into a Jaguar XJ220 rival. And they're probably the cheapest way into the 200mph club.

Not sure if it's a modified Golf or a modified 928? Probably more 928 by weight?

Please just take the time to have a look around this site...NUTTER!!!

One particular afternoon at the Nurburgring me and couple of mates were being driven 'round in a Skyline R34 it was running about 400-450 hp at the time and the driver races them in Holland, so he knows them pretty well and is making good progress passing the odd Porker and M car in the wet. Then as I was looking out the side window enjoying the drive, the Pick up goes flying passed us on the out side of nice open bend SIDEWAYS!!!

Cue four very quiet stunned blokes on the rest of the lap back to the car park.

Quite possibly the real life version of the A Team
