I know I have. Both cars full to bursting and another 40 litres in Jerry cans. biggrin

Derision expected - trouble is, when eveyone else starts doing it, where does it get you by trying to be senbible and not join the rush?

You'll just end up smug but out of fuel IMHO...

Anyway, I've got enough for over 1,000 miles now, so I should be ok thumbup

I haven't filled my cars up and I don't intend to fill my cars up because it's thoroughly antisocial, IMO.

If I run out of fuel I run out of fuel, at least I know that I haven't caused everyone else problems.

I've got half a tank left, should be good for another week or so. How long are they striking for?

Nope, I've got half a tank which is fine.

People like you are why there might be shortages!

It makes little difference, we'll run out of fuel long before the strike even starts. They don't need to bother actually striking, all they have to do is threaten to strike and it has the same effect.

No dates set as of yet, so clearly a time to panic pre-emptively biggrin

But it does make you wonder when even MP's are sugesting we all store fuel at home just in case. As they are usually want to understate things, I think it's gonna be bad.

I need to fill a can for the mower, so the garden will be looking a bit scraggy. My excuse and sticking to it.

You'll feel a bit silly when you use all that fuel between now, and when the strike actually happens.

Enjoy it though.....

They haven't actually set a date yet? Panic buyers really are stupid.

Also, I can't see the strike lasting for more than a couple of days either. Striking workers don't get paid.

Think of the overtime they'll be making off all the tits buying it now though!

Indeed. Plus you never know when the drivers of the bulk containers brining in monosodium glutamate could go on strike.

Somewhat annoyed with the massive queues at the petrol station, bought a new (to me) car.. so it was running on fumes then had to wait an age to fill it up.. less than happy. Its not like its the end of the world or anything.
