My Griff just killed Lassie

Seem to have been quite a few pet-poo problem threads lately. We've been suffering a similar fate with someone's dog taking a regular dump on the grass outside our front gate. The kids don't see the jobbies and, well, you know the rest.
Well yesterday afternoon the bloke whose dog, an ageing collie, we suspect of carrying out the offense walked past my garage as I was just firing up my Griff to reverse it into the garage. He cupped his ear in that universal "give it rev" way and so I obliged, as one would.
The engine was cold and so probably overfuelling a bit and at 5k rpm a decatted 500 is really quite offensive. Lassie clearly did not like this one bit. In fact the dog just sat down on the grass and shut its eyes. Its owner had to carry it from the scene. I noticed that the dog did not sit on any of the sun-baked turds already populating the grassy knoll.
Bottom line is that I'm worried I killed it! And now I can't reconcile my feeling of delight that my front border could in future be free of turds, with my feeling of horror that my griff may just have murdered this man's pet dog. If I knew which house he lived in I'd pop round to see him but I don't.

I don't think so, but interestingly enough, say you took Lassie's owner for a bit of lash, gave it some and basically scared *him* into a heart attack and he died, you *could* be done for manslaughter*!!
