One off A23 (Crawley) lunchtime blatt?
Discussion
After reading the thread "Great Copper In Crawley Shocker" posted by 400sedave I've been "inspired"
I drive that section of the A23 near Crawley every week day..it's good you can clear out the oil filters after sitting in the morning traffic.
Anyhow, there must be a number of PH'ers in the area..what about a lunchtime meet to "clear out the oil filters" (a blat up the A23 to Horley and back), talk cars and partake in an alcohol free drink at a local public house.
Obviously NO racing, breaking the speed limits or being silly
just giving the opportunity to others to listen to the roar of exhausts and make their day.
It sounds like it's going to be sunny tomorrow...what about it ?

how about blasting south, some very nice pubs a few miles south pub suggestion
>> that works well from the Dorking angle actually, down the A24 and left after the dual carriageway

Rough guess... it would take 20mins +/- i.e. probaly 10 mins from Dorking to Reigate along the A25 then 10mins southbound on the A217 and A23 to Crawley
Did you ignore the pub suggestion then ??
Either/or just give me a time and a place
No didn't ignore it I was just looking at the Multimap...the old server is a bit slow at the moment.
As for location...(if the A23 is the route) what about meet in the car park at Halfords (A23 Crawley) about 12:30 to 12:45...do the "road run"...and get a refreshment at The Flight Tavern (got a half decent car park).
If yes then map will follow................

Hmmm...I'm afraid I won't be able to make it during my lunch-hour, it's a little too far (North)!
Have fun though
