This is a surprise as the TVR dealer has closed and Paul Matty sportscars appear to have taken over the building.

I'm confused then too...

So the TVR dealer that was opposite the hotel (it must be that site that he is taking up I presume) is going to be Nick Whale, Paul Matty is less than 2 mins away from there... Intresting to see how this pans out.

Paul Matty had a row with lotus about them not selling parts at trade price to him, but discounting other dealers.

In the fall out, the rumour is that lotus wanted to setup a dealer of there own in the area.

This will probably put matty out of business.

All success to you mustard, please be gentle with massy, his garage has been in Bromsgrove for a VERY long time, and is part of the locals "tradition"

Cetainly not one of our reasons, for this location, right premises, good motorway access at the right time etc.

We were looking at anything circa 15mile radius of B'ham

I don't disagree, but why didn't lotus back paul matty into the emtpy premesis instead? It seems to have two lotus dealers in 1 mile of each other, especially when the existing is well established and built up a long reputation.

PS the TVR dealer that was there - that is owned by Droitwich Saab, who are currently converting an office block that is also in a much better location than its current one.
They will be moving Droitwich Saab into it next year.. and droitwich landrover, and Droitwich TVR and droitwich Seat...

At the end of the day Matty's and Nick Whale Compete in different sectors of the Lotus 'Market' with very little overlap, and it is our intention to explore other areas of the specialist pre-owned car market

And both companies respective customer bases are a bit larger than just Bromsgrve
