Hi all,a friend told me about pistonheads today so I am finding my way round. I also hope to find advice about my Micra sport which has an airbag problem. The light on the dash is flashing, indicating that the airbag may not deploy in a crash. This may be a problem with wiring or a sensor. I am taking it to the dealer for diagnosis but wondered if anyone had experienced a similar problem, so that I might have a clue before taking the car in. Thank you.
Welcome to PH.
I can count on my elbows the number of times a dash warning light has actually been something wrong with the component to which it refers, rather than a faulty sensor or warning light! I know that won't help as its only my experience and means nothing, but it might make you feel slightly more optimistic. HTH![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

Hi thanks very much for that, you are right,it does make me feel more optimistic. For info` apparently it would fail the MoT on that problem I can count on my elbows the number of times a dash warning light has actually been something wrong with the component to which it refers, rather than a faulty sensor or warning light! Thanks very much for the advice & link. I tried doing that but to no avail sadly. It looks like it is going to cost around £350 to fix as diagnosis comes up with a sensor fault, though, could also be wiring. I have to return to get the job done next Wed. Thanks you two guys.
