Ok.... I had 6 points on my licence, 3 of which expired on Sept 12 and the 4 year point was this year and I had them removed.
If they are "valid" for 3 years and are fully removable from the paper part after 4 years..... Why do bloody insurance companies ask if any have been obtain in the last FIVE years?!?!?
Theoretically speaking..... The last 3 points on my licence are showing but the first three have now gone. Do I NEED to declare all 6, even though the paper part of my licence only shows three and I am assuming the DVLA only register it as 3?
No I am not looking committing insurance fraud, it is a genuine hypothetical question....

Because under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 such convictions are only "spent" after 5 years. the fact that it is 3 years for the purposes of "totting up" doesn't come into it.If they are "valid" for 3 years and are fully removable from the paper part after 4 years.....
