Lamborghini Aventador Roadster: Pic of the Week

Just a little reminder that Wilton Classic and Supercar is on this weekend...

In case our not so subtle hints hadn't made it clear enough, the 2013 Wilton Classic and Supercars event is this weekend. Moreover, when images such as this week's POTW arrive with an email, we didn't need any excuse to mention Wilton again.

F12 the other option; it was a tough choice!

This gorgeous Aventador Roadster pic comes from the press shots for Wilton taken a few weeks ago. We can but hope for similarly balmy conditions this year following a rather damp 2012 event. But even if we don't experience any of the recent glorious weather conditions, the combination of some amazing cars, both classic and contemporary, at a beautiful location should more than compensate. Don't forget the rev-off too...

We had to make the choice between an Aventador and the F12 to your right for POTW: hopefully we're agreed it was the correct decision. Moreover, if this doesn't whet the appetite for the weekend ahead, nothing will! See you there.

Rosso red doesnt suit the V12 cars for some reason.

Having seen the F12 a couple of times in the metal, I have to say, for me the Aventador is much more special. It just looks like a proper supercar in the way Lambos always (mostly) have. The fezza is probably better on paper, and indeed even around a track, but just doesn't do it for me.

Not really the same sort of car though are they?

F12 is a useable everday GT. Aventador is more of a high days and holidays affair.

Now that is a proper car! Glorious wailing V6 Vtec that sounds epic and doesn't go wrong like the other two highly strung Italian stallions.

By far the best car meet in the UK. Had an awesome weekend in the 430 Scud missile! Had a great hoon from the airfield with the guy in the orange GT3 which sounded epic!
