Tyre help

I've currently got Falken FK452s all-round on my E36 328i (which I'm very happy with) but am struggling to find replacements for the front anywhere. It looks like the replacement is the 453 (logical) but I know that 3-series can exhibit some handling quirks with different tyres front/rear.

Has anyone replaced 452s with 453s? I'm also thinking about going an entirely different route with Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas which I've heard many good things about for a mid-range tyre. Any other recommendations? I hate changing from what I know as it'll be a decision I'll have to live with for a long time if I don't like the new tyres.

Ideally I'd rather source some more 452s so if anyone knows of any (or has some!) I'm looking for 225/45/17s...

I got some a while back from a branch of Micheldever tyres, I believe they import them.

As you say, the 452 (wonderful tyre) has been replaced by the 453 which is generally regarded as inferior. I've read more than one test which gave it poor marks.

I've just emailed Micheldever to see if they can source some.

If they can't, I'd still really appreciate some thoughts on suitable alternatives...
