So there's an excuse if an unmarked car tries to pull you. Say I didn't believe it was a real police car!!!

The two concepts aren't mutually exclusive.

As the owner of a silver Volvo V70 T5, it has to be said that the car does make some motorists behave in a very strange way coplaugh

Reminds me of the 'fake Paramedic' that the Police stopped a while ago. Very cringeworthy!

Police added that an unmarked police car could stop vehicles, but the stop must be carried out by a constable in uniform.

Interesting. Hard to tell at the time I should think, bet this bloke was wearing a white shirt and black tie.

In the last few years there has been huge increase in the number vehicles using blue lights illegally.

Under the UK vehicle lighting regulation it is illegal for any vehicle other than Police or Emergency vehicle to have a Blue light fitted or used. So why don't the Police do anything about this?

Despite being a tinfoil entombed keyboard warrior that never leaves the house I know of one incident where the police dealt with such a vehicle.
