Hello everyone, does anyone here have or know anyone who has had experience in designing alloy wheels? Or know where I can find the information how to design them?

I dont think a 3D model of a wheel will not be sufficient for manufacturing but thank you for your help.

Have you tried contacting Rimstock/Team Dynamics yet? It's probably where I'd start.

Or possibly Image?

Why not? What else do you need?

Rimstock are a good place to start if you are looking at getting something made

So, if I create something in solid works, they could use that to manufacture my design? I've spoken to rimstock

They usually prefer that to a scribble on a notepad....

Try and use CATIA instead of SolidWorks. Both Dassault Systemes, but CATIA is far superior IMO!

You still need to do the FEA. No idea what parameters are required, I imagine there are ISO standards? Maybe these guys know:

http://www.etrto.org/

Can you not buy something off the shelf? the FEA could will get quite expensive.

EDIT: have fun with this: http://www.euwa.org/home.asp?id=3&id2=6

the last link doesn't actually aid you in design.

Just design your own?

Here is one I hustled up in less than 30 minutes:

If you want me to design one for you, just let me know.

So what did they say? I'd imagine they can offer everything from a complete service to manufacture only depending on how much of the design and validation you are able/willing to do yourself.
