Would you expect this to be covered by warranty?
Discussion
I'd have thought it'd fail a MOT in the UK if you presented it like that (providing it's obstructing the light output), not sure about the equivalent test where you are but if so that's surely a reason for it to be fixed under warranty...
The headlights in my A6 are awful for condensation, you've reminded me I need to try and do something about that soon

The MOT angle is one of the ones I am likely to pursue, but it doesnt need a Dutch MOT for another 2 years yet
Is it as easy to take it to a testing station as it is here? A written statement from one saying that they'd fail it for the issue is likely to suffice...1000foot said:
Probably best to visit your local dealer and ask them rather than allow the great

Its been to the dealer today and they are stating that its not a warranty item as its only 'mist' in the headlamp and not pools of water.

I used to work for in MINI sales and this isn't the first car I've seen with this characteristic
I would suggest it's highly unlikely you'll get any kind of warranty cover on it as it will probably be described as an acceptable amount of condensation. I don't think they are sealed units so technically it would be impossible to stop it from happening again, rear lights also suffer with this.

I have a used Toyota Aygo in stock, 2011 car with 17k miles on it.
A local Toyota dealer phoned me up to do a recall on another one of my cars and I mentioned in conversation that this car has a misted headlight, so they picked the car up and actually put 4 new lights in changed the pads and discs because they were still under warranty and delivered the car back to us!
Great service!

Does anyone know how to repair headlights that have dodgy seals like this?

That sounds like some good bodging there, I was thinking more taking it out and trying to reseal it but I suppose I need to remember it's a free, 200k mile car
200k miler? I have just the ticket. Depends on the unit design, mind you, but on my old mk.4 escort we just put polyfiller on the join between the lens and the unit (where the seal had failed). Worked 10/10 until I stuffed it into a hedge Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
