I'm not that keen on bikes - am going to go out and look for a shot in an Atom though - I have just got to try that...

Clarkson has a well documented hatred of bikes. He never shuts up about them being rubbish. To my knowlage he has never riden one himself. Still dosnt stop him going on about em.

But that atomn looks fantastic, I want one

Will they now relent and put the Radical back on the list then?

And isn't it time that all the other fast road legal british sports /track day cars get a run?

They wouldn't allow the Dax Rush Busa turbo to try for the fastest lap 100 Kg less and upto 60 bhp more than the atom, even with the smallest busa turbo.

If they can get over the speed hump that gets into the studio... why not? Apparently, the Radical can't.

There are days when owning an Atom is good. This is one of those days.

Yes, my Rush is 475 Kg wet, add 20 Kg for turbo and intercooler and pipework ets, that's about 100 Kg less than the 600 Kg of the Atom. I think they said 600 didn't they ?

Interesting.

Anybody read the Evo review in eCOTY? They didn't like it too much, said it was too compromised for track or road

IMHO this is the ultimate atom - I'd bet the engine package was a bit lighter than the Type-R powered version as well!

Owned by PH'er Atom290.

Ah, Ok, so 500 Kg, about the same as a turbo Rush weight.

They didn't reset the suspension for the road after they'd hooned around soiling themselves on the track! It's a car that rewards good driving and cojones the size of small asteroids. The eCOTY team weren't prepared for quite the extremity of the supercharged version. They might have been better off with the 'cooking' 220bhp version and a couple of C spanners.

Heh - cool

I must admit I was very disappointed as I have always had a lot of time for the Atom and really wanted it to be good

I think there might be a few chaps in Hinckley would disagree with the "fastest" comment. Also has twice the boot capacity.
