I have seen this a couple of times - why do people write this? Surely their cash is as good as anyone's?!

As an example!

No idea but as that one was written off, I'd suggest perhaps not the safest/best driving in the first place....

I think the seller is quite familiar with having to deal with morons when selling cars and has just had enough!

Final words:
- NO Part Exchange
- NO stupid offers, If you can’t pay what I am asking don't bother
- NO Boy-racers or any other kids, even if you have cash I won't sell

Something ironic about his demands and his choice of location to photograph the car

Indeed. Just look at that terrible numberplate and those double cone filters.

What a stupid thing to write in an advert. Surely when you sell a car you want to target everyone. Maybe he has been inundated with innit bruvs or some chavs off pistonheads

The seller sounds a bit of a boy racer himself...

I think it depends on the car. When I sold my Cosworth Sapphire I made sure it went to someone who would treasure it.

Frankly I'm more of the kind of "if you were Satan himself and paid with money dripping in the blood of children, as long as it's still legal tender, that'll do fine"

I saw that advert before I read this post, I think the seller has just gotten tired. A bit odd though, boy racer seems to be the market for this kind of car.

That car looks like a chav wagon, I imagine his ONLY potential customers will be boy racers.... nasty nasty car and Cat D to boot.

Ditto last time I sold something.
No shortage of 'ow much 4 da car? £500 iz a wikkid deal4 u innit m8' type messages and just got so sick of them, as well as a fair number of test pilots who really wanted it, haggled over a price, and then pulled out when they found they couldn't insure/afford to run it.

Depends on how desperate you are to sell. If the seller would rather not deal with knuckle dragging cretins whose vocabulary barely extends to 'init' and 'bruv' then surely that's his/her prerogative?

Cat D on a £13k+ car? Seems odd to me.

The car had struggled to pass an MOT every year with dodgy tyres. They are always near bald, slashed, cracked or under the limit.

The last MOT it passed says see separate advisory sheet. Wonder if there's a big list?

He's not too willing to say what the proper tyres are that are fitted now.

I wouldn't be too judgemental. I'm in West London and have a similar garage . A 2 bed flat in my block is worth £600k and one of the three leasehold garages not tied to a freehold property sold last year for £35k.

what can look a bit elsewhere can be worth a fortune in London where garages are like hens teeth
