Was all about to get an A45 on a 3+23 10kpa lease at £582 when the people I use mentioned an RS3 would be £50pm less.....got me thinking.

Is the Merc £50pm better? And while I'm asking.....another £30 off gets me in an RS - bargain?

Or is there something I'm missing?

Adn no...I dont want a golf.

What do you want from your car? IE driving style?

Currently have a 7 seat verso and a 3.4 boxster.

No longer need the kids seats as they are with their mum a lot (post divorce) and I get fed up driving the verso but dont want to put miles on the Boxster.

Sp - I need a car that will take 3 kids if needed - MTB on the roof rack now and then. Look ok with clients (not a huge worry) be Boxster quick. Be safe for GF to drive.

In the past I've had Imprezza, TVR, Merc 350, SLK etc.....so looking for a Imprezza grip, TVR speed, Merc badge, etc.

Oh...and most of my driving is A roads....not many motorway miles. Live in Reading and clients in Henley/Marlow/etc....so only do 10kpa and not much on Mway.

I'd be RS4 purely because it does not have a 4 pot engine. You seem to worry about badge. Audi also ticks that box. I think of the three the Mercedes looks the most wild/chavesque depending on your point of view.

not sure you can lease an M5 for under £600pm over 2 years with 3 months deposit. Unless its a 518 with a dodgy badge.

All the reviews say the RS3 is very disappointing beyond the engine...

I would go for a test drive with A45
The new facelift version is in improved and is faster now
I have had mine over year and I am still very pleased with it I went for no Aero and know one bothers you
In two years time I will get another one.
Moutain grey with Aero looks good there is picture of one readers cars.

I've been parked up in town a few nights a week since Christmas waiting for the OH to finish work and on the street I park are 2 or 3 kebab/pizza takeaways. There are 2 guys at those delivering in a brand new (well 65 plates) Audi RS3 and a BMW 135i. Then last night there was another out in an A45. I have to say, of the 3, the RS3 sounds immense, a lovely deep rumble, but the A45 looks the best in my opinion.

Dull reply £500 a month would allow for mileage on the Boxster and you to use it more would it not.

From the reviews the Focus is the best drivers car but the interior is just horrible.

verso is a lease and goes back in a month - a boxster alone is no use when i have the kids or need to put the bike on the roof rack!

No A45 present but this is an interesting comparison - http://youtu.be/0Yebl4YgoRA

The RS3 gets panned and many reviews I have read/watched have suggested the S3 is the better car.

They're wrong, fking brilliant car.

TX.

Edit - I hasten to add that is based upon ownership not the reviews of others for which I apologise of course.

an M5 on 3+23 10k is £900 or thereabouts. Not even close to a £40k hot hatch.
