Thoise that may remember me will rue the day I opted for the 350Z. I've had it Supercharged .. Stillen with an Intercooler and it now spits out 390 brake with 350 ft/lb of torqu. Better than the Chimaera or Tamora ever were.
Still miss the noise though ... and the uniqueness but not the flaws.

I have to admit, I do find these types of postd quite funny, ex TVR owners writing posts about their new car and gloating about how much faster it is because they've MODIFIED it!!!
OK, how about;
I've just had my Tam supercharged, it's now putting out 410BHP, so much more BHP and torque than that 350Z!!!

Given your extra weight over a tamora/t350, I'll doubt you have any straight line advantage. You may have compromised your reliability advantage with the supercharger too!
It must be a cool car though, but like many who stray I reckon you'll be back one day. TVRs scratch a particular itch like no other cars can!

Never said it was faster ... just better. Rattled a few cages though, so I see nothing changes here.
Supercharged or not, it doesn't leak, servicing every 10,000 miles, nothing's fallen off, the trim fits as do the body panels, nearest dealer is 4 miles away and I actually see fewer Zs than Chimaeras.
The difference is I now have no desire to put a picture of it in my profile, and I admit I miss the TVR experience. I'd had a glass of wine, or two, and felt like posting after not having done so for a long time.
I notice the names are all new, but the supercilious pretence that if you don't drive a TVR you're a tosser continues ... hope you guys can all drive with the blinkers on!

I dont think that any TVR owner has had anything bad to say about the 350Z, indeed, I have read quite a few positive comments about that car from TVR owners, so your assumptions are quite infounded I feel.
You were the one who implied your car was so much better than TVRs, so it's you who has a bee in your bonnet about the marque, not us!
Just for balance, I too have now done 10K in my Tamora without anything falling off, trim still where it should be, and zero problems.
Me personally I would love to hear a full breakdown and comparisons of the two cars, including running costs, speed, driveability etc. Also tuneability, outlay costs. As I suspect would a lot of other owners. Having just had my Griff leak very badly and now smelling terribly, the relaibility isues and leaks i can understand.
But by comiing on to a TVR forum, and basically posting a "Mine's Bigger and Better than yours." What do you expect? As a former owner you should know that by doing this you will probably provoke these sort of reactions amongst some owners.
Now it's cool to know that you have got a car that your happy with and loads of people would be interested in hearing about it, especially as it's so unique. but you could have started off without dropping a metaphorical grenade.
Everybody will always back/defend the car they drive, as you have shown by pointing out where the 350Z excels, so you can't blame people for soing so. Especially considering the inflamatory wording of your previous post and the way in chich you have replied.
As far as I'm concerned each and everyone to their own. But it's good to share as someone out there may have the same feeling you have and could benefit form you experiences.
So let's all just try and get along?

Don't tar everyone with the same brush. Your posting set out to prevoke a reaction, so don't moan when you get what you wanted.
Oh and before you tear a strip off me, I have a 300zx Z32 that's been chipped and tuned, costing a fraction of your 350z, I'll still give you a run for your money. :P I enjoy both the Zed and my Cerb', guess you could have kept the Tamora and had the best of both worlds, I did.

New Names? I have been a member for 5 years here, had a TVR for 3 of those.
I admire everyones cars, as it's their passion and hard earned that pay for it. But don't come on and openly slate them then get surprised when you get a reaction and say we call people "tossers".

Show us some pics! I'd love a ride if you're down Wycombe way any time soon.
A supercharged 350z would be right at the top of my shopping list if I didn't have a T350. The UK spec 350z has a decent interior (unlike the early Jap imports with cheap plastic on the centre console).
Yes, it is modified, but some of us have close ratio gearboxes and red rose engines - similar IMO. I bet this particular 350z with the torque output reported (probably lots through the revs with the supercharger) would hold a std T350 in a straight line and across country. Not sure about the track, the T350 is lighter which would help there.
TVR owners sometimes think they have the fastest cars on the planet, they don't (Sagaris excepted
). MY T350 is lightyears faster than my Chimaera (which was no slouch I admit, but they are on different levels of performance altogether).

Errr... what did you expect people to say after your first (potentially inflamatory) post? To roll over, sell their TVRs and buy Zeds on your say so?
My old man's got a 350Z which he loves, as do I. It's a great car, but not something I would want to own. If you feel that your affair with TVR is over, then all well and good, each to their own as they say.
But FFS, don't come on a TVR forum, tell owners that your car is better than theirs and not expect some kind of fallout - it has all the potential of making you look stupid....
The effect of time will tell if the 350z is a good car or not.
When TVR's are 10 years old they generally keep high desirability and hold a certian value.
A nissan is in 10 years generaly worth a few hundred pounds, I would expect the 350z to be better, but probably like the skyline only a few grand for an average one.
