F1's or Toyos?

Question in the title really. Which are the "better" ones?
Both cost the same from Black Circles (195/50/15 - £54) and are going on to my Golf.
The
car spends most of its life on dual carriageways motorways so i'd prefer them not to be too noisy but grip and wear are more important! (Currently doing 21k a year)

I got my Proxes for £30.10 each (T1-R's)
My brother got his Eagles (F1 GSD3's) for £32.10 each
Thats delivered and everything! 195/50 R15's!
Black circles are a bit more expensive. I've oredered six sets of tyres from mytyres and they have always been spot on.
As per which to buy. I'm not overly keen on the T1-R. No better to the T1-S I don't think, and the ride is margianlly worse. Apparently stiffer tyre walls so better on track, but I don't really track my car anyway, and wouldn't on road tyres anyway soooo.
My brother has Eagles on his car, and are a much better tyre he says, than the T1-S.
I'd go for the Eagles... I am next time. Not exactly extatic with the T1-R's in the size I use at least!
As per life and grip. Not sure on life yet, but apparently my brothers car stops alot better, and is harder to loose traction under hard acceleration than on T1-S.
Soooo, considering I find T1-S no different to T1-R really, the F1's are gonna be better all round I'd say!

In defence of Toyos I've been using them for a year and have found them to be perfectly good tyres, particularly so in the wet. Wear-wise mine are still going strong and I'm not exactly 'easy' on them going through the twisty bits.
That said I have never tried F1's so don't have a comparison.

Got Toyos on the Tuscan, which I've found to grip well up to a point, but when they do let go it's not what you'd call progressive. Got F1s on the GTV - so far I have to say I've not noticed them, inasmuch as a they've behaved and haven't given me any frights so far!

I can vouch for Toyos but I have no experience with the Eagles. A friend has experiance with both however.
He was of the opinion that there wasnt a huge difference, both are accomplished high performance road tyres and prices are so close as to be irrelevent. That said, he is sticking with the Goodyears as he thinks they are slightly better

I've put 200/55/15s on mine and they handle just fine. Garage owner said that they may even offer better grip than standard size.
(Will double check that that is correct in morning.)
