That would be the GT Battle on the 25th of June then Ian
I assume you were filming the D1 guys' second demo, it's a shame you weren't at drifing corner when they powered out, that was pretty spectacular!

Not a bad video matey! Was an awesome day, those cars are amazing, and its only going to get better as more people hear about it. A few of the D1 cars and drivers are going to be on TG in July aparently.

Got some footage myself, but waiting for firewire card and hard drive to arrive!

Oh, I thought I would add that Ken Nomuras skyline (the main white one) IIRC is less traditional because it is a 4 door. I looked up the spec of it, and aparently is along the lines of:

850bhp @ 9600rpm
700lb/ft at 7000rpm
60 in 3 seconds

That car is amazing and sounds awesome!

I went to support a few friends running the 'track attack' thought it was an excellent all round event, well organised for the first time it had been held.

Just ashame the track didnt dry until late into the afternoon

Tickets are 'On sale shortly' according to the Silverstone site - Link , I'll definetly be going, hope it doesn't rain as apparently the D1 guys prefer the dry.

PH meet would be cool, looking at the hundreds of GT Battle threads spread throught the Gassing Station at the moment quite a few people went to (and took part in) GT Battle.

yep, they were struggling for grip during acceleration, steering and braking so not to good (running on Kumho road legal slicks), a few hairy rear end moments which are always worse in car than the look from the trackside. Unlike the porsche's no rear end traction...

Its ashame the qualifying session wasnt extended a bit longer as the track was just drying off, and they had to come off. The free-for-all practice session on the 'long' track looked more like a race which the vipers on a dry track would of been well suited for

Yes, I saw you as well (but didn`t film you - sorry!)

The main reason I went was to film the Ultimas doing their 0 - 60s (incar plus outside) but due to the wet, this was cancelled - thus limiting my footage a little, but enjoyable all the same
