A friend once told me about somebody he knew who had hit a pigeon with his XK150 while travelling at about 115 mph. The bird hit the top of the windscreen and I understand the damage was quite spectacular. I gather the driver retained control of the car so things could have been much worse.
Question: Is this sort of hazard a good enough reason for avoiding high speed driving? I say it isn't, but what say you?
