As per popular request, the next blatt will be to foreign shores.

Early train to Calais,
Blatt to Boulogne area for lunch,
Talk Bollox,
Upset the cheese eating surrender monkeys with our noisy cars
blatt back to Calais
Evening train home.

This will be a WEEKDAY event. Who`s up for it before I start the organisational ball rolling?

Weekday fares......

Leave before 08:00 = £15 after = £23

return before 20:00 = £23 after £15

Departure time is up to you folks, but two things to consider....

M23/25 is a nightmare until about 09:00

Unless we book, lunch will have to be before 14:00, so train after 11:00 is no good.

Don`t care where we go as long as we do the coast road!

Your suggestions are very welcome.

Leave early, stay late, drink more beer, make more noise, buy more plonk, eat more steak.

Le job's a good 'un.

Je suis oop for cette.

Mai, je suis en vacances 7 - 23 Owgoost, so je would prefer Le Blatt to be at un autre temps, si possible.

Those won't know what's frappé them

C'est un tres bon idee Monsuir Towhomme!

Middle of Aug is pretty free, I'll try to fit in with popular dates.

Hi Steve,

I could well be up for this one, depending on when it is. See you at the Furball next weekend

Most probably have to pass on this, it will be only a couple of weeks before I go on the MegaHoon, so need to be preparing my car.

I can vouch for the restaurant "La Sirene", at Cap de Gris-Nez [ ok Cape Grey Nose to you !]

www.ville-wissant.fr/restauration/fiche20.html

Right on the beach, good sea views, bit posh, good scoff, and they do seem to be happy to take money from dozy Brits like me who don't speak any French.

Follow up by a tour of the WW2 concrete bunkers nearby and a long lie on the beach to sleep off lunch.

If I may throw my 2 penneth worth in. How about mid-morning train, 40 min or so blatt to Le Touquet, blatt the area, stop for lunch, more blatting (aka annoying the locals) and then either a late afternoon or early evening train back (avoiding the worst of the M25?)

Rather worringly I seem to be in agreement with P Diddy, I cant do mid August either (Im making/serving more coffee and muffins at Olympia)
