£1.059 per litre - ouch

Paid a whacking £1.059 per litre today at Hilton Services - ouch - well over £5 per gallon.

What was a bit of a p:censored:r was that the price was marked up at 99.9p at the pump. The price apparently went up last night, the tills/computers were re-programmed but someone a) forgot to tell the staff & b) forgot to change the price labels on the pumps.

Yes I know could have kicked up a fuss but didn't really have time to argue.

It's going to go much higher.

What a windfall for Gordon Brown as well on all that extra tax revenue. Can imagine him slapping those horrible lips in the disgusting way he does & counting all the extra beans !!

Next time come off the M6 at junction 12 and go down the A5 1 mile to the first roundabout and there is a 24 hour gas station that is one of the cheapest in the area.
You can come off at J11 north bound and turn right and get there.
