I dont often post in this area but I have just been given some sad news that Richard passed away tonight.

He was a great talent and he will be sadly missed.

I have no reason to disbelieve you, but has this information been released to the press yet? It's just that I can't find any corroborating evidence at the moment.

Nothing on the news sites as yet...

Hope it's a mistake, but it's sad news indeed if it's correct.

Will he get a multi page Obit in every national daily and blanket TV news coverage?

I doubt it.

It was a couple of hours ago, as everyone knows he has been very ill but took a turn for the worst.

I'm afriad I reieved an email just now advising me from someone normally in the know Very sad. Cant find anything on the news except the British Rally forum
