Helo

I need some advice.....

Yesterday I parked up on my local seafront went for a stroll, came back and drove away....BANG!!!!!

I had mannaged to get a 1ft bollard stuck inside the fron wheel arch as i reversed out on full lock.

It has put my tracking out and killed my wing.

I would like some advice on what steps i should take in getting some form of compensation or having the bollards removed.

You see these bollards have only just been installed and are completly pointless, they are impossible to see due to their small height and only serve an asthetic function - bassically they a a motering hazard!

any advice on who i should complain to....or what to do next would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards

Sorry... you drove into an immovable object, and want compensation?

sue the people who sold you a car with steering so you could turn into the bollard. if it understeered more (in the so called safe fashion) then it wouldnt have happened would it?

1) Pay the Local Authority for the damage you have caused to their bollard?
2) Learn to drive?

I think it's your responsibility to check nothing is in your way before to pull away from a parking space...

Who should you complain to? Your parents.

On our behalf.

You must have been moving at some speed to do that.

Agree with everyone else here, chalk it up to a lack of experience. Next time, look before you get in the car.

How did you manage that? If you reversed out, how did you not see them when you drove in? or got out of the car?

was it one of those stationary bollards coming in the other direction? or were you busy looking at the bollard you hit last week. ?

Hmmm I think it is unlikely that you will get cash compensation from the bollard

maybe you could try something on a more personal level

Like running it over with your car that will teach the little concrete bugger not to mess with you again
