Yes sir, you old duffer, in your beige Mondeo (R003 AJY) travelling along the A52 towards Derby...you sir forced me to hit you or a kerb this morning when I was overtaking you and you decided to change lanes with neither indication or a check in the mirror.

Thank Christ it was an angled kerb as I was doing about 50 (braking hard) when I touched it, having done all I could to avoid hitting you.

Wazzock.

The chap who was in my arse at the time, I hope you've got spare trousers with you...cos I braked hard and you must really have thrown out the anchor.

As you were chaps. TFI Friday.

Apologies for the rant - and I fully expect the "I just nearly got killed by somebody overtaking me on the A52 like a pillock" response - my driving may not have been saintly, but bloody hell, if you can't overtake somebody without them driving into you...there was just no sign he was planning to move, nothing, whilst I wasn't in a hard to spot car.

Lots of good ranting here too. It seems they're all out at the moment.

It's silver. Not beige.

Well, according to the RAC's data check service it is.

It was that horrible light brown colour I think...TBH it could have been silver but very dirty. RAC calls my car silver too - it's not. (Close though.)

And that, young man, is exactly why you could never possibly hope to rise to the heady levels of Beige Mondeo ownership!

I was more amused by the fact that Ford are seemingly conning people into buying Beige cars by telling them that they're silver. At the risk of a flaming, I can't imagine any other colour I would less like to have on a car (and yes, that does include both beige and pink). IMO, silver is only acceptable as a car colour when it's bare polished metal!

Had a similar experience last week when some tool in a Golf decided to overtake the car in front while I was already overtaking him - yup, no mirrors used! Thank god the road was 'just' wide enough for 3-up. Phew.

I had two old duffers do their best to kill me today, one dived out in front of me while I was busy overtaking him (and then ing slowed down!) and about two miles on, another old duffer passed a stationary vehicle on a country lane without bothering to see if there was anything coming towards him ... like me.

I could have killed them both on principle, really.

rofl

Quite. Some days I wonder how much damage I would do if I had "all-round bull-bars" fitted, and just let people drive into me when they tried.
