.........or am I alone?!! If so do any of you meet? Do any of you want to get together for a drink in the city or just want to meet up? I am only asking this as I am finding it difficult to find people who are interested in 'REAL' cars in MK and I dont really want to be finding myself going to the 'CRUISE' on a Sunday night. That is cruise as in where the MAX power boy's go.

Edited because it needed ammending!

There was a meet at the Caldecote Arms earlier in the year, which was mainly Elises, and a couple of VX220's IIRC. A couple of Tivs did hope to turn up, but couldn't make it in the end.

Given the amount of exotica i've seen around the general area (Live in Leighton Buzzard, shop in MK most weekends), a good turnout could happen with the right publicity on here. I'd certainly come along to another one for a natter!

Anyone else?

I'm moving back to LB in a few weeks, so count me in on anything that happens.

I'm in MK and I can think of at least 3 other PH'ers who are too.

Finally, some other enthusiasts who can share there tales and secrets. TheLemming also lives in LB and he would come down too, I have known him for a few years and have recently started speaking to Fatsteve through here. If we could arrange a day to meet at a nice pub, we can all start off with a bite to eat before heading out for a little drive. The more people who state there names on this thread the more chance it has of happening. So that's about five of us at the moment.

There's a few of us around Daventry too, which is only half an hour away.

I'll keep an eye on the thread and if I'm free, I'll turn up (everyone knows I'll turn up to anything)

I live in Northants but work in Milton Keynes so although I don't own a TVR or Lotus I'll turn up to swell the numbers - just don't drive too fast if we head out!

I'm just down the M1 near Luton, and have a 'real' care so I could take her out for a spin sometime if something was arranged. I'll keep an eye on this thread!

So where then, and indeed when?

Sunday lunchtime a la VW? How about Willen Lake? Car park of a reasonable size, things to do for the families etc, nice setting? Don't think there's a pub there, but there's always the Caldecote Arms again if pie/pint were a necessity?

Any other suggestions?

Brilliant, the more the better. This isnt only a TiV or Elise meet. I will be there in my 1982 MkI Golf Gti. It's totally modified but speed isnt everything so don't worry about everyone speeding off. If the weather gets a bit warmer and drier we could do it mid May if we are lucky that is.

If we do a Sunday lunch thing we could convoy off to the 'Cruise' late on to show the Lacks Power brigade what a REAL car is

We are about 10 miles south west, near Winslow. I can't come in the Radical as it's not road legal but other arf has a Chimaera so we could swell the numbers.

To be honest, not all the lads down there on a Sunday evening are as bad as the Lacks power brigade. A friend and I are mates with some Chinese lads who go down there to meet for a drink or two. One owns a V-Spec Skyline and the other a Integra Type R.

So not all of em drive 1.2 Corsa's etc etc, these boys will give TiV's a run for their money.

Another Caldecote meet would be excellent, especially if the weather stays nice.

As the Caldecotte Arms has been used before and is relatively easy to find then it is a good idea to use that as the meeting place. All that is needed now is a date and time and pray that the weather is nice for that weekend. I reckon the Sunday would be a good day for it. Slightly quieter and a day when people might have more spare time.

Any ideas?

MK here too ...

There is a pub at Willen Lake, if you wanted to stick with that idea.

Still waiting for my Audi Cab to arrive, so you'll have to put up with a Freelander I'm afraid

Well the 11th is Folembray weekend - depends if any of you are going to that though.

18th is TVRCC Back Home - same again, are any of you going? (apart from me )

24th is Bruntingthorpe track day and 25th is PH meet in Redditch, which might attract some of the people in the middle.

What do you think about meeting up on 25th and driving up together to say Warwick Castle and meeting up with the Redditch group for a few lemonades and a chat?
