Why the f
cky boox do some lorry drivers feel the frigging need to block both lanes of a dual-carriageway when the signs indicate two lanes going to one in a 1 or 2 miles time.
Had some absolute pillock slowing *everything* down to his speed on the A303, going in and out of DCW and SCW.
Doesn't the highway code state that both lanes should be used and then merge in zip formation??? It wasnt even as if we were moving at vast speed so an early merge would be a safer option. We were doing doing stop start!

But it isn't a case of leaving it to the last minute! In my experience, there is usually vast amounts of distance left to run before a safe merge is needed. There are two lanes there for a reason... Yes, there are 100s of civilised people queueing up but unnecessarily. Use both lanes and merge in turn, and then a lot of congestion problems will be reduced or removed.

There is no benefit to anyone using one lane of a two lane road to queue in, this is *not* the checkout at waitrose, it's a road network. The same rules do NOT apply, the HWC says zip merge - therefore you zip merge, it's as black and white, and as plain and simple as that.
