Morning

I was just wondering what car you guys would buy if you only had £1000 to spend on an everyday "banger" that is reliable. Preferably with a bit of poke.

I'm wondering because that is what im trying to do...cash flow is tight lol.

Cheers

You can get an ok condition Honda Prelude VTEC for around the £1000 mark.

But expensive to fix unless you can do work yourself.

Yeah i did look at them actually, nice little example you have there!!

I probably would have to get someone to do any work to it though and i know parts can be ££££££

I did only have that sort of budget (£1100 admittedly) and I bought a Rover 200 Vi. One mature owner so its been looked after and 0-60 in 7.4 so pretty quick too!

Love the way it`s "only" £1000. Never spent that much on a car in my life!

Thanks biggrin

Parts are quite cheap if you dont mind second hand, there are allways two or 3 on ebay being broken for parts as the smallest accident and insurers write them off.

Old hondas are very reliable, considering my car is 15 years old I have only had a few problems with it.
