Right.

Those of you that have ever been to Newton Abbot / Exeter / Plymouth will have seen (unfortunatly) the most stupid crowd of rudeboys ever seen.

They drive round the Newton Abbot Mc'Donalds in swarms with the "alpha male" being the biggest tit of them all!

So I have decided to join them!

Got a week off next week and havent got much money so....

Saw this idea on a website years ago but cant find it again. I am going to take my astra, make a large spoiler out of kellogs cornflake packets and silver foil and do the most stupid "blue peter" mods that man can humanly do for a £10 and see if I can pull the "alpha female".

So need ideas for some really stupid car modifications that can be done with sticky back plastic and a bit of glitter!

Any ideas?

Baked bean tins (preferably the really big 1kg ones you get if you buy in bulk) in a quantity of no less than 4, crudely taped to the back bumper. You could even leave the labels on for good measure

Shoulder warmers can be easily achieved with a cushion (naffer the better) and sticky-back plastic

Don't forget to spray your washer jets in fluorescent paint from Halfords - it will look like the LED ones

You could always try and make it look better by taping up the lights aswell - cheap morrette style LOL!

I once genuinely saw a car with rubber skirting all the way around the underbody (under the bumpers/sideskirts) which contacted with the road (to increase downforce, obviously). Would have been ok on a rally car or racer, but it was a N*va...

Same effect could be acheived with a roll of tinfoil, all the way around...

The cheapest thing you can do to make your car look crap is get some old crisp packets and stick them to the inside of the windows (foil side out ) and there you have some 'drug dealer' style mirror tinted glass

Would you please write a detailed report for Pistonheads (beside lots of photos), what you experienced, and that you didn't pull alpha-bird because you had no nose piercing

Home made bonnet scoop:
Either cut round the front and sides of where the scoop will be with an angle grinder and pop rivet some sheet steel in to make the sides. (15bhp increase, I've been led to believe)
Or, for the more bonnet friendly method take a cornflakes packet, cut to shape and use copious amounts of sticky tape to keep the whole thing on. (+10bhp)

Both versions can be streamlined 'for extra power' by adding approximately a bucketful of P38 or building cement.

Edited to say that I'll be keeping a lookout, as I live in the area

I have a digicam and live in Totnes, I think it would be worth the trip when the project is complete.

How about you save £ on fitting the compulsory Flamer kit that the Max monkeys fit and just tape a small camping gaz cooking ring to the rear bumper near the tail pipe

oh and a multi flashing cycling LED light to be selotaped on the front grille as you play your knightrider theme music

Sounds good to me! So long as theres maybe a bit of expanding foam or tiling grout to 'seal' it and make it so much more efficient.

Only drawback is that I cant do anything perminant to it, so any "mods" have to come off with no marks!
