Out of gas...

Have I missed something...? This afternoon the following petrol stations:

Shell Apex Corner A1
Shell Sterling Corner A1
BP Borehamwood
Shell Borehamwood
Esso A41 junction of A 5183
BP A 5183 / A414/ M10 roundabout

Were ALL our of all grades of petrol and diesel! Only open for the shop with some thoughtful enough to display A boards at the entrances displaying signs "Out of Fuel"

I was so low having visited all these that I had to carefully return home. Yes, Tesco has some fuel but NOT the 98 Octane (V-Power/Ultimate) that I need. Does anyone know what's going on or is this another example of of major companies being unable to cope with slightly increased demand? Unreal!!!!

Not sure what was going on there! But i remember a couple of weeks ago i was in my company car driving round watford scarily low looking for diesel! Couldn't find any anywhere!

Yep, London's pretty much out of fuel this week. I struggled to find some yesterday on the way home from work. What made it worse was my car's insistance on 98 RON. It had to make do with 97 as that's all there was.



Ooh, BP Ultimate is NOT 98RON, it's 97. I think it's only Shell and Tesco who sell 98 and 99 RON fuel (excluding BPs 102 race stuff).

GOOD point! You're right and goes a little way to explain why people report smoother running/better performance from V-Power rather than Ultimate.

Came out of London on the A1 tonight and noticed most petrol stations were out of fuel too.

I noticed alot of petrol stations around me were closed for fuel one day last week, I think it was the day the fuel protests were taking place.

Not in all stations and not in my nearest at Borehamwood.
