Sorry to bring some seriousness to the post....but thought I'd answer the question!!
There's some sort of health regulation which states you're not meant to be pushed into walking more than X metres - so the conveyor belt things are there to cover this problem (if you dont want to walk you just stand there!). As it happens, most of them are always broken anyway - but thought I'd share that bit of useless information with you anyway!!

Oh, and as for the pic - it's a classic !!!

If you're using windows:

Right click on the cross, go to 'Properties', highlight the address (http://community.webshots.com/s/image1/0/17/15/83701715xXGyrb_ph.jpg), copy it to another browser window, and Bob's your uncle.

Alternatively, click the link above...

Edit - clicking the link won't work - the website prevents remote linking of images. However, you should be able to copy and paste the link into a new browser and see the image.
