Not complaining Neil.D just thought I was being helpful, it's very easy to let the speed creep up without realising and that's when your more than likely to get pulled. No I wasn't lucky they were incompetent and had no evidence whatsoever and thought they had an easy target. If this is the response when trying to help people safe guard their licenses then I won't bloody bother in future. To answer the other question, they were actually three up which makes me think they weren't traffic and had no recording equipment and were all in civi clothing

The speedo, OR their opinion of speed is enough to convict you. You've just admitted on the internet that you WERE exceeding the speed limit. Out of all the traffic on this busy road which you've described, they happen to stop YOU? I wonder why? I would say you're lucky. Just got pulled by this car in Brighton around 11pm.....very arrogant t
t, said he pulled me because I didn't look right in the car??? WTF!!! I was not speeding and car is fully taxed etc.....guess he was just bored....

Just thought i'd make it aware to everybody that the police are using an unmarked 57plate beige vw passat v6 fsi. He shadowed me from Southwick tunnel to Arundel before deciding after 15mins sitting in traffic to pull me over. Reckons he couldn't give me a ticket because due to traffic couldn't get an average speed! Also said i hit 95mph which i disputed due to the fact that i was in moving traffic. Personally i think they were bored in traffic and pissed off that i didn't do over the 100mph. Touched about 90ish at for a very short time ( still illegal i know) but what about the 10 other cars in front doing the same speed. Reckon it's the car!

Why should they have been pulled over instead of you?Yes I was having a moan as well but answer me this question, why did he take nearly 10 miles to stop me? surely once I broke the speed limit then he should have stopped me then. As for the muppet who said hopefully they will read it and do me by post, get a life. Also I wasn't yes sir no sir I simply pointed out I wasn't doing the speed he suggested but agreed I was excess speeding, what would you have wanted me to do? Give it the biggun and lose my license? All I was trying to do was warn people. I certainly am not one for hiding behind a keyboard and I do know my rights!

Lucky you didnt make a spelling mistake in your post,the spell check police will be correcting your typos irrespective of topic.P.S Ren-R, I also own a Golf GTI (if thats all right with you)and thought I would warn those fellow motorists as well. Jesus guys I thought I was being helpful, ok maybe I shouldn't have gone on a bit but pissed me off at the time and I'm sure others would have felt the same. I thought thats what these forums are all about? helping/and being help by fellow motorists.

Don't need a keyboard to hide behind mate, and your comment about being reported by post was also very touching. After having my BMW vandalised for the second time in a month and the police being very dis-interested wouldn't you feel a little aggrevieved? thewurzel said:
